Marit Mihklepp is a visual artist whose practice explores language and landscape. Central to her artistic practice is creating spaces for learning from and relating to our life-sustaining more-than-human companions: stones, meteorites, plants, soil. Through walking, listening and collaborating with these others Mihklepp aim to share an intimate experience within the world which goes beyond the humanly familiar. In the exhibition space her works take the form of video essays, sound pieces, photo series, written pieces, small-scale installations or instruction spaces to be activated by the audience. Mihklepp´s current work is focused on the geologic imagination, encounters with stones, and searching for forms of storytelling beyond human (time)scale.
